Industry Canada - Broadband Map
Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians
As part of Canada’s Economic Action Plan, $225 million was provided to Industry Canada over three years to develop and implement a strategy to extend broadband coverage to as many unserved and underserved households as possible, beginning in 2009-2010.
As the first phase of the Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians program, Industry Canada has undertaken an extensive mapping exercise to determine the extent to which Canadians remain unserved or underserved with broadband access (minimum 1.5 Mbps). In order to verify the accuracy of our information, we are asking individual Canadians to tell us about their Internet service by visiting www.ic.gc.ca/broadbandmaps
There, Canadians can find their location on a map of Canada and will then be directed to a summary information page which will tell them if, according to our information, that location has broadband Internet access. From there they will be able to complete a feedback form to give us more information about their service.
Please contact us if you have any questions about the Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians program.

Nouveau HotSpot - Aux 4 Jeudis

We have a new HotSpot that reaches in one of the regions most established French Canadian Bars, Aux 4 Jeudi in Hull. It is a beautiful location, with a large terrace surrounded by old Hull architecture, trees and vines. They also play great music, have a fabulous ambiance and a great selection of beers.
New Hotspot - NCC Info Centre 90 Wellington
ogWiFi has a brand new hotspot in front of the Parliament buildings - NCC Info Centre!
I understand from a Change Camp Ottawa attendee that the best place to use this hotspot is from the Info Centre’s second floor, facing the Hill looking at the flame, tulips and the house of government. Nice!
Please enjoy this new hotspot and be sure to inform the NCC staff as to how wonderful it is.
Sincerely
Tracey
Cool Cafés in Ottawa are also OGWiFi Hotspots
Umi Cafe and Xpresso are both ogWiFi Hotspots!
Read the nice article in the Ottawa Citizen A frothy café culture: Distinctive new coffee houses perk up Ottawa neighbourhoods.
Perhaps Aunt Olives, Raw Sugar and Viva Loca: Livin’ Local will also! All you can do is ask them if you are patrons there!
Merci Nicholas!
Please go and enjoy the Chelsea Pub and surf the net on the new ogWiFi hotspot!
