‘Oops! How Do I Unfreeze My Router?’ is a presentation put together by Ian Gough, discussing how to fix a router once a bad image has broken it and it has become unresponsive. This state is often referred to as "bricked". Ian will cover the steps to "unbrick" a router. This is a good time for all to meet. A lot has happened lately with ogWifi and we wish to see as many of you as possible.

‘Oops!

Ian, Emil and I did the install at the Elmdale House Tavern last Tuesday.  We learned a number of things, among the most intersting lessons however was me learning how to splice and make router cables!  Yes!  I aligned up the multiple wire colours in a particular sequence and then inserted them into a telephone plug thing and then used the crimpers and not an usubtantial about of muscle power to squeeze them into place.

Emil then tested the cable in a cable tester device and well, I got an A+!

Nathalie and Bruce the owners of the new hipster hangout, indie music and neighbourhood watering hole - The Elmdale House Tavern have created a new ogWiFi hotpot!

It is a great place with a very traditional tavern like charm.  It has been around for 73 years, has lots of oldtimer regulars, neighbourhood patrons and great bands.  The Tavern does not have food beyond bar snacks but they welcome you to order your own pizza or to bring in your own snack.  The Elmdale is beside the bucket chicken place and most importantly Helen’s homemade Lebanese food and a bunch of other ethnic places such as an Ethiopian, a Spanish , Cambodian and Vietnamese places where you can order takeout.  The owners also welcome groups who wish to have sponsored events, meetings or workshops on the nights they do not have live entertainment scheduled or during the early afternoons or evenings when the tavern is quiet.

Go Check it out!
