	<blockquote><p><font>As part of </font><a target="_blank" href="http://www.actionplan.gc.ca/eng/index.asp" title="http://www.actionplan.gc.ca/eng/index.asp"><font>Canada&#8217;s Economic Action  Plan</font></a><font>, $225 million was provided to Industry Canada over  three years to develop and implement a strategy to extend broadband coverage to  as many unserved and underserved households as possible, beginning in  2009-2010.</font></p>
	<p><font>As the first phase of the <em>Broadband Canada: Connecting  Rural Canadians</em> program, Industry Canada has undertaken an extensive  mapping exercise to determine the extent to which Canadians remain unserved or  underserved with broadband access (minimum 1.5 Mbps). In order to verify the  accuracy of our information, we are asking individual Canadians to tell us about  their Internet service by visiting </font><a target="_blank" href="http://www.ic.gc.ca/broadbandmaps" title="http://www.ic.gc.ca/broadbandmaps"><font>www.ic.gc.ca/broadbandmaps</font></a></p>
	<p><font>There,  Canadians can find their location on a map of Canada and will then be directed  to a summary information page which will tell them if, according to our  information, that location has broadband Internet access. From there they will  be able to complete a feedback form to give us more information about their  service.</font></p>
